Thailand Renewable Energy Growth
As Southeast Asia emerges as a key global clean energy growth hub, Thailand is accelerating renewable deployment through supportive policies and expanded targets for utility-scale solar, C&I distributed PV, and residential solar-plus-storage systems.
Given its high irradiation, hot and humid climate, and coastal salt-mist conditions, the market shows strong demand for high-efficiency, high-reliability PV modules and energy storage solutions. Suntech continues to deepen its regional footprint and deliver tailored solutions aligned with local conditions.
Scenario-Based PV Portfolio
At the exhibition, Suntech showcased three differentiated N-type TOPCon module offerings covering utility, commercial, and residential applications.
A key highlight was the Ultra T 3.0 quarter-cut high-efficiency module, built on the advanced TOPCon 3.0 platform. It integrates ultra-fine gridline technology and high-density shingled encapsulation, delivering over 25.2% efficiency, more than 20W higher output versus conventional half-cut modules, and up to 90% bifacial gain. With a temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, it is optimized for high-temperature environments, improving lifetime yield and reducing LCOE.
For utility-scale projects, Suntech also presented its 735W ultra-high-power bifacial module, designed to maximize single-module output and improve system-level efficiency in large ground-mounted power plants.
For distributed applications, the company introduced all-black bifacial modules, combining high performance with architectural aesthetics, supporting residential and C&I rooftop markets and aligning with building-integrated PV trends.
Solar + Storage Integration
To support Thailand’s grid conditions and rising demand for self-consumption, Suntech also showcased its SunStorage residential energy storage system.
The modular system offers flexible expansion and enhanced safety, suitable for homes, villas, and small businesses. When paired with Suntech PV modules, it enables a complete solar-storage cycle: daytime generation, energy storage, and nighttime usage—delivering a stable, clean, and efficient power supply.
Suntech also displayed upstream materials including silicon wafers and N-type cells, demonstrating its full industrial chain from materials to modules and storage systems.
With a strategy centered on technology-driven innovation and localized adaptation, Suntech continues strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia. The company will further optimize product performance for Thailand’s high-temperature, high-humidity, and coastal environments, supporting the region’s transition toward a safer, more efficient, and sustainable energy system.
